Thinking of ordering a custom portrait? These are precious taonga to gift or keep.
I can create your portrait from either live sittings or photographs, however reference images must be of excellent quality. I can advise you on your preferred medium for the painting, along with an estimated completion time depending on my current workload.
Commissions are accepted with a 25% deposit upfront.
Considerations
Deciding where the finished picture will hang may inform your choice as to its size and/or colour palette.
Pastel/charcoal is a faster and cheaper option but should be framed behind glass, ideally with a mat board to prevent the image from sticking to the glass over time.
Oil paintings take longer to create due to a slow drying time. However, they are traditionally not kept under glass and framing isn’t necessary, but you have the option to frame your finished canvas if you wish.
